The poet describes, there always comes a phase in life when we have to beam our destiny plays a role of a devil. When the poet wants to beam or shine like a star, the destiny (good thing) rejects to stick with him. Poet says to himself that he has the abjure or a right to shine, lastly it stays away from the shine and lives in dark.
